Well, I have part time employment now at least, and I've been utilizing my extra time off to get back to the basics of creative arts. I think I was getting too tied up in all of the technical aspects and I was losing my focus. I've been working on some fantasy role playing game stuff lately and I'm building a system completely driven by creativity and group involvement versus the typical D&D style technical playing. I'm learning digital fantasy cartography, which is a big transition from pen and paper, and its going well so far. Here is a sneak peek at a work in progress. Obviously some key features are missing, such as rivers, and I plan to redo the mountain/terrain texture.

As it turns out, digital cartography is much more complex than I thought, but I find it very relaxing and interesting. When I'm in the zone working on a map, its almost like meditation.
